The Show |

Promoseven have approached us with a concept for opening of
Aujan’s factory 4 months before the event date. 3 ½ months
were spent with re-designing, proposing different options
and changing final location of the launch inside the factory
to determine the best site for this event.
The 4-month plan was simple: trussing system flown from the
roof supporting lighting, fixed and reveal drapes. The venue
was split into two areas; reception and function areas, each
draped separately with fixed white silk drapes in the
reception and kabuki-style dropping ones in the event area
to reveal the new machinery on each side of seating. Front
of the room consisted of main stage of 5x6mtrs with lectern,
2 side screens of 6x4.6mtrs, 5xmtrs backdrop and stage
lighting.
The challenge came on the first day of 3-day build-up: we
were not allowed to use any of the present hanging points
which resulted into 2-hour planning meeting onsite to
reproduce the same effect of truss box, now ground-based.
Racing against time as we were not the only ones to
contribute to the overall event (lets nor forget catering,
carpeting, air conditioning, banquet set-up etc), trucks
were appearing with extra trussing to meet the client’s
expectation. By the end of the first day after 15 hours of
work, only the truss was in place.
Second and third day followed by hectic set-up of everything
imaginable: audio system, video, staging, screens with
surrounds, projection, plasma screens, draping all around
with solenoids, and tons of lights. By the end of out last
set-up day, we were finally ready for audio and video
rehearsal, while a walk-in tent built out of truss and white
draping was slowly rising.
On the D day we kicked off with background music, ambient
lighting and plasma screens in the reception area. Guests
moved into the seating area and video presentation followed
with explosive ads for Aujan drinks and coverage of the
factory. Fast-forward through speeches and the real show
started – in a blacked-out room, the lasers were cutting
through light smoke drawing images onto the screens. As
music graduated, lighting started to play behind the drapes,
building anticipation. The grand finale included drapes
being released and dropping, glitter cannons exploding and
lighting dancing on the machinery on both sides. Back to
background music and ambient atmosphere, guests walked
around the now-revealed machinery and enjoyed snacks and
Aujan beverages. |

The
Verdict |
|
|
|
| |
Faced with enormous
challenge of re-designing the whole event on the spot, we
have managed to deliver a show beyond the client’s
expectation, which we would not be able to do without the
strong togetherness of the whole team. Thanks to support of
everyone involved, we have again created a pleasant event
with satisfied client, blown-away audience and even happy
production team!
